Our Pal’s Place is an incorporated,
not-for-profit Pet Adoption Facility and Education Center located in
Marietta, GA. Our mission is to rescue dogs from euthanasia at
local animal control shelterss. When entering the shelter, we
first meet the dogs who have a “death date”. If we believe we can
find the dog a good home, we pull the dog from the shelter into our
organization. We provide our dogs food, housing, love, attention
and any necessary rehabilitation. Our dogs receive full
veterinarian care and are spay/neutered. Meanwhile, we work to
find these orphaned dogs a loving, permanent home. Potential
adopters must complete an adoption application, meet with a Director of
our organization and agree to a scheduled home visit.
We also work
directly with individuals who have specific qualifications they are
seeking in an animal companion. As we go into local animal
control shelters, we look for a dog who has these characteristics and we
also contact other rescue groups.

by working with local shelters and animal rescue organizations to
provide food, love, attention and any necessary rehabilitation to
orphaned animals while we work with potential adopters to locate the

Training and
Education Center
Our Motto: “Positive training for permanent homes".
Our Pal’s Place has a professional trainer - Susan
Brumbelow, K9U Training - on staff who is experienced in enhancing the
human/animal relationship through training and behavioural counselling.
Training is just as much about teaching the human as it is training the
pet! Susan offers sessions including Puppy Socialization classes,
Good Manners classes and Canine Good Citizen classes

Through our
community outreach program, Our Pal’s Place offers educational services
to the Brownies, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts to help youth earn pet
related badges. We also offer youth education programs such as
Kindness to Animals, Basic Pet Care & Spay/Neuter and Pets are for Life
programs. Finally, we will have a Youth Council program offered to
high school students to provide hands-on learning experience in Animal
Welfare Education, Non-Profit Business Management, Fundraising, etc.
